Hello. How do someone go about applying for donation of land for the creation of a permanent landmark? I am interested in creating a real life model of the Biggest Seated Buddha statue in the world in SecondLife. The model would be the TienTan Buddha (heavenly buddha) seated buddha statue located in Hong Kong. It is currently the largest seated buddha statue in the world and most modern too (opened someone after 1970).

A video of the statue is available here: http://www.edepot.com/buddha.html

Click on the play button. As having access to the location in Asia (see video) and
detailed information about it, plus good experience in 3D models, I would like to
apply for land to create this statue. It would not only benefit SecondLife, but also
siteseeing travellers and buddhist devotees as well. The model would encompass the
stairs (268 steps) as well as the whole statue. If enough space is given, even the nearby Po Lin monastery can be included with the internal statues as well.

Thank you for your attention and I hope I can get an answer to this either here or in my SL IM. (or other methods).

Hello edepot. This sounds like an ambitious project! You can choose to own land yourself to build something like this. Information on owning land can be found here: Land Information

Linden Lab does have a partnership program. If you feel your project qualifies, you can submit a proposal for review. You can find more information about this here: Business Partners
