Looking at the KNOWN ISSUES page, I fail to see a lot of the things that we know are bugs, and are reporting as bugs, but are not listed on the KNOWN ISSUES page.

At the same time I see NUMEROUS issues lsted there that don't affect the current version of the program, but are problems with previous clients as far back as 1.6.

Anybody here still using 1.6? Is there a reason why "known issues" are not removed as unaffected new versions are released?

Why are many of our issues - that we, as unhired beta-testers, dutifully report - NOT being addressed?

Wait... I just felt a "disturbance in the force" - it's as if a million LL Developers' brain cells screamed out "We don't know wtf he's talking about!" and were silenced.

Just off the top of my head, here's a few that many people are reporting but seeing no action on (please feel free to add your own, or correct me if I've misinterpreted some listed issues)...

In no particular order...

Land textures not rezzing
Dumb undocumented tricks to get AVs and/or clothing to rez
Chat field losing cursor focus causing people to jump around instead of chatting
Horrible snapshots (IMO the new features are cool - but the snapshots suck)
Attached Gadgets firing on log-in or sim-crossing
Changed chat text colors reverting to BLACK on every log-in
Inventory list selection uselessly jumping to the top
Insane Linked Prim editing surprises
Select All for text sometimes works, sometimes not
Tab-Key Follies!!! (WTF?)

...and this is only things on my mind before I've had a coffee and logged in. I'm sure in about 10 minutes, when I log in, I'll think of dozens more problems I didn't list here.

It's getting harder and harder to exist in SL when you're unsure if anything you want to do is going to work or not. It's like us residents need to keep an ever-changing encyclopedic list of undocumented bugs and quirks in our minds in order to reliably do anything!

Many friends I've invited to SL have tried it to the point of frustration - and ran from it like a beaten dog with their tails between their legs! Then I have to deal with their complaints as if I'm responsible for it.

Clothing rezzing problems - people logging in as hobbits - random crashes - the list goes on. We have to "walk on eggshells" (to coin a phrase), and that's no fun at all. SL is not even a reliable "Chat Program" anymore, 3-D or not.

Here's a neat little game you can play with yourself - take a sheet of paper and list all the things that are GREAT about SL, then list all the bugs and annoyances on another sheet of paper.

When the buggy list is so much longer than the good things list, you have to make a decision on whether you're participating because you HAVE TO (because of commitments or business), or WANT to (fun and/or entertainment). For me, when it gets to the point where HAVE TO outweighs WANT TO, I will unceremoniously close up shop and find something more amusing to do.

Like UnrealTournament, or Sid Meyers' Civilization, Command and Conquer, Age of Mythology, StarWars, Rise of Nations (Gold), Tiger Woods Golf, or even SOLITARE!

Ahh yes, solitare... personally I play spider when the system crashes (a common occurance now) and decides that the system is still "Logging me out"...

That and I've rediscovered my fondness for GTA Vice City while waiting for the server to update, or simply to try to forget the many bugs making my life as a simple builder a nightmare.

"And I hereby award the Biggest lemon award to... SL-1.11!" =P
