Knowing that land for Preview Testing is limited to basically the 3 sims and some sections in an additional 2.
And people are already having trouble finding land for testing, I'd like to put my thoughts on the uses and perhaps limits on land usage in the preview test.
Now considering this is a preview test, to test the software client and server, no land should be used to basically move in, like no prefab houses, if you want to test the build tools then there are sandboxes and if you want to keep objects in a sim then private land might be usefull but not for complete builds.
The biggest test i've seen is to test if 256 objects link together and not 257, which although can be done in a sandbox would mean to do the testing of preview the amount of land needed per person should be max 1250m2, but in most cases a 512m2 parcel will suffice.
Also, why all the land restrictions in preview?, if you want to test them split off say 64m of your parcel and test various aspects, but out of courtesy dont leave it on all the time. its annoying enough in a large grid but in a compact one its worse.
and last but not least, i've seen some land for sale for rather high amounts, 4999 for 512m2 when that in public land will cost you 1024$ if you really want to sell it or get rid then either just release it or set it to the public land price and be fair, land baroning shouldnt happen in preview and any land at those price levels should be confiscated.
Opinions?
