Mac Client Issues

Well, where do I begin

first off, the current ieteration of the mac client seems to have more bugs than a tijuana burrito shop.

Run the client for 15 minutes, click on any of the blue buttons at the bottom of the screen, and 75% of the time, it'll cause a crash.

same thing sometimes with moving windows around the SL window, causes a crash.

the automatic bug reporter seems to be broken.

About every third or fourth crash, my shape decides to get corrupted, and it can't be found in the database, which is somewhat annoying. Thankfully, it's not an irreplacable part of me.

I get massive lag switching between IM windows, and when you switch tabs in an IM window, the cursor defaults to chat, which is somewhat annoying, as it requires more mousing to get it where I obviously want it.

I haven't been able to do a lot in SL, simply because the client is less stable than my mother after twelve martinis.

I'm running on a PowerBook G4 17" 1.33GHz with an ATI Radeon Mobility 9600 64MB VRAM, 512MB memory, with OS X.3.9.

Thanks!

Running 10.3.9 on a vanilla 15" imac (the one with the lamp stand)

Last night several hangs and crashes and extremely laggy. Was chatting with two other mac users on and off and they had several incidents too. Tried several different regions and all similar.

This is has been affecting the majority of Mac users since the 1.7 release, and is now officially a "known problem" :)

See here .

Hopefully we can expect a fix soon !

Meanwhile, a quick temporary workaround for the crash is to delete your cache folder when it fills up. At least it gives you a few more minutes in-world.
