I can't say when this started exactly, but is fairly recent. I have just finally got fed up enough to post. Very few textures are ever completely loading for me until I mouse over them. For instance, if I go into a store with a wall full of pictures, I can let my avatar stand there right in front of them for an hour and they will never rez to more than a blur. But, as soon as I mouse over them for a couple of seconds, they come in clear as can be. I can certainly understand and love the idea of giving loading priority to whatever is under the mouse, but mousing over should not be required when the download indicator is sitting basically at 0 and yet nothing is fully rezzed. Is anyone else experiencing this? Do I just have something set wrong? Any ideas? Thanks, Raven

Same here, but I also have to click on the texture to get it to load. This really only seems to happen to me in stores where there are lots of vendors. I completely avoid texture stores because they are the worst.

Hello, all. Well, this exact behavior has gone on for me since 1.7 was released way back, and has never alleviated itself. Much as was stated, I too must click on a texture to get it to load. Sadly, in addition to it happening in stores, it happens to me almost everywhere, whether it be in an isolated area with three textures (not counting the ground) or in areas where there are hundreds of textures. It has reached the point where I simply live with it, since, pardon my words, I am most thoroughly aware that nothing I say or do can or will get it chenged or fixed or even investigated to any degree. From experience and observetion, I can safely say the response from official sources will be, at best, "We are aware of this and will look into it." I wish any and all of you the best of luck in finding a solution, I shall most assuredly listen for one. Until then, I shall patiently await the next bigger and better thing, life raft in hand.
Yours, Mika Kyubi (Muromachi) Kitsune-at-Large (Who wants her last name of KYUBI on SL, and will ne'er get it)

It's not just you, I've been noticing this a lot more lately too. Even the land texture doesn't show up.

Got used too this in Linux (including Win client under wine) but until recently hadnt seen it much (aside from the avatar trextures not rezing in).
Recently however the windows client is exhibiting the symptoms more and more for me under XP, I actually ported home from Bare Rose last night because I just couldnt get my new outfit too rez there.
Once I got back too base the outfit did appear after a bit of putting on/off, but even there the ground texture refused too fully rez remaining a blurry green.
I noticed that the outfit came in more quickly if I knocked the clothing radio button down from bump mapped/cloth too just bump mapped. Didnt help with the textures on walls etc obviously.

So, sounds like I am not the only one having this problem. Has anyone discovered anything that can help this problem? Any idea if LL is aware of or working on a solution for it?

This has been going on ever since i first started a week ago, I figured it was to keep down lag/ download time.
Oh, and what i do is right click to select objects to become clear.

I thought things had gotten a little better with the last 1.10 update, but with 1.11 it seems just as bad as it used to be, if not worse. Now, often when I TP into a texture heavy area, such as a store, rather than loading slowly, everything just stays completely gray until I start mousing over one texture at a time. A couple of specific locations that I have noticed this recently are at "Beyond Tattoo" and "Simone's".
