Hey Krollen, do you have shadows on perchance? There are known some current freaky things when you have that set. Also, much more info about what exactly is happening to you, including your computer config and other specs would all be really welcome. It's difficult to help you diagnose your crashing situation otherwise. Cheerio!

game keeps crashing

i dont have the shadows on im running a amd duron 1.6 with 1.0gig ram a msi g4mx 440-tx8 64 mb ddr video card and widows xp sp 2 and all i was doin was trying to edit my avatar

Heh... It might have been cleared up by now, but for the first release of 1.6, SL would crash repeatedly about the most RANDOM things... One night, SL would crash if I turned off the modify perm on an object.

I think SL just doesn't like the GeForce4 MX 440. I've got one, myself, and SL tends to crash once every hour or two, after having textures freak out, and everything but terrain and av-attached prims disappear.

it seems to be getting better now still wants to crash but i can get on longer now is there any other tweaks i should know my drivers are up to date for my video card and mother board
