I don't want to Jinx it but so far since the 1.10.1 patch SL has been somewhat behaving for me. I dont know if someone actually worked on the cpu/networking yeld code or if this just happens to be the "lucky" reboot of the SL servers but at the moment SL is cooperating with other programs and background tasks.
I am still seeing occasional packet loss but it's staying under 2% and only lasts a few seconds at a time. Most importantly, it isnt being disruptive as it tries to recover.... I'm not getting router locks or stopped socket processing... or the in-game effects associated with it....
So if some dev DID work on it... you went in the right direction!
