Did we lose the ability to reset a script?

Why can I no longer reset a script in a no-copy, no-mod item that I own? Am I missing something simple here? The menu options remain greyed out and I can't open the old blank script screen and press reset there. Why not add reset as an option on the right click on the script in the content of a rez'd item?

I noticed this as well, when I tried to reset a script in this flower I own, because when I got up off it I was acting funny, so I figured it was something happened to the script after the update. But I couldn't reset it.

From: someone Can't reset a no-mod script sound like a bug was fixed to me. How is this???? I buy an object from you and can't even reset the script when the object stops working properly???? If you are a scripter then I guess you will be getting lots of calls! The script I needed reset was in an object that I purchased a while back. The scripter isn't even in the game any more. Guess this update just trashed that item and wasted my money.

The ability to reset a no-mod script was already gone in at least later versions of 1.8, because that's when I realised you couldn't do it. I wasn't aware that it HAD been possible before.

Are you people delusional? I've just got a no-mod no-copy object out of my inventory, made by someone else, with a no-mod no-copy script, and what do you know...working reset button.

I just took out my "Dominus Shadow Monster R/C Car" (no-copy,no-mod,trans) and cannot reset the script (no-copy,no-mod,trans). I can't open the script window to even see the reset button and the options in the Tools menu are greyed out and non-functional. Can't even set the scripts to not-running! How are you resetting the script??? BTW, this is both with 1.9.0 (orig) and the 1.9.0 (17) that came this morning.

I noticed it was gone, too, in a latter 1.8 version. It was very useful when it was there. I haven't tried it since I first discovered it, though, so I should go and do that when I can - just to doublecheck that it's gone.

I'm not in world to check this right now, but I think if the object containing a no-mod script is, itself, modifiable, then you can open the script (and not see the code) and hit reset. Not sure on that.

I ran into this yesterday as well. Since the 1.9 patch everytime I rez, the cigar I had been holding in my hand when the patch occured throws off several error lines. Since the script in it is nomod I cant open the script itsself to reset it, and the TOOLS menu options are all greyed out (Except the new one to see the error box, which is empty when I open that)
Now, I can understand the need to protect a nomod script, HOWEVER that would mean that LL needs to guarantee they wont break scripted objects during and with a patch.
