When I try to set the position using the X/Y/Z boxes, the Z coordinate (at least) isn't sticking. The only way I can move on the z plane is to use the arrow keys, so can't get an exact position.
I'm noticing this with individual linked objects in particular.
I think this is a bug... is it happening to other people too or am I missing something?

I just filed a bug report because it looks like entering numbers into the size fields does not always work. I found a workaround for entering small numbers, enter a large value (say 1.0), tab off the field then enter the number you need ( say 0.05 ). The prim you are editing will not change size immediatey either. Something is definately broken here.

Yeah I seen this too I think this weekend when shuffling some prims up and down after I unlinked my treehouse...
Occasionally on entering the new value, the z co-ordinate changes and the edit bars shift but the prim just sits there, not moving. In my case I just reset the co-ord back to its original, hit return (or tab away) to enter, then changed the co-ord again, hit return (or tab away) and the second time of asking it would usually pick up the change correctly.
Just an intermittent thing - it seems.....but irritating...
