I know I'm breaking a cardinal rule by duplicating this here, but I'm sure no one noticed it as the last post on page 2 of the "A right to Roam" thread. "No More Bork!" I think there are some points in all those arguments that no one has hit on: 1) Do we want LL adding yet another *feature* to SL? We all know what happens when they do that: More Bork! 2) Even if the majority could agree on this issue (and from the poll it looks like it's leaning towards No), do you think that LL would go to all the trouble to rewrite the way property bounderies are handled? Maybe when pigs fly, hell freezes over, and Britney Spears gets a Masters degree in Economics. And if they did, see point #1 again. So, to sum this all up: Do we want More Bork so a few can freely fly wherever they want? I know I don't.

So we don't want them to fix things that are already broken incase they break something else? You know full well that my suggestion was not a new feature, but merely a tweaking of a few variables. Come on now, let's take it back to the original thread where it belongs.

You know full well that my suggestion was not a new feature, but merely a tweaking of a few variables. Come on now, let's take it back to the original thread where it belongs. What's broken? Not allowing trespassers isn't something that is broken. I'm sure that making this change would involve a lot more on the part of the Lindens than a few variables tweeked. My point wasn't to shoot down your thread or any of the arguments in it. My point was almost everytime LL changes or fixes something, things seem to get worse. (And, I'm not the 1st one to express that opinion either.) I then posed the question as to whether or not that was a desirable thing. From: Bradley Bracken I already RA'd the post. It offends me that someone doesn't get a response so they see the need to scream even louder.
I wasn't screaming. Being the last post on a page of a busy thread usually means no one will ever see it. I didn't have to be honest or obvious about it. I just wanted people to see it and know where it was. If Strife wants to lock or even delete this thread, it's OK with me. I still think its a point that needs to be made - whether or not its popular in regards to the original thread.

They've screwed stuff up in the past when they have tried to make SL better, so they shouldn't try to make things any better any more? I understand that you don't want stuff screwed up, but telling LL to stop trying essentially because they are incompetent to do so sets a dangerous precedent and isn't a strong argument. I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one.

You should consider this..they don't care what you think or how you feel about what they should do. They own this place and they will do as they damn well please. Deal with it or move along!

I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. I appologize to everyone if the way I stated my point originally wasn't clear. I'm not saying that LL should stop fixing anything or stop trying to make anything better. All I'm trying to say is if they split every sim into say, an upper and lower sim - for the sake of allowing vehicle flyovers, it's probably going to make things more complicated for all of their subsystems and systems - thus creating more areas for more problems to happen. Before we go changing anything else for the sake of change, lets first make what we already have work as solidly as possible.

In a way I am in agreement here. I'm tired of new things coming into the game while there are a number of old issues that are not being fixed. Take the team of developers that work on NEW things and get ALL things working correctly before you try and make anymore changes. With more and more new things coming into play it just seems like there is a lot of us screaming at the door begging to be given the kind of 'play' we were promised in the first place. There are server issues, database issues and a lot more that needs fixing....lets get to fixing.

I moved the thread from RA fyi.
Only the comically stupid drama doesn't run and hide out of fear from me.

Which begs the question... Does Strife's own comically (non-stupid) drama run and hide out of fear of him?

Sim boundaries are horrifyingly bad, and have been for a great many updates now, I miss the golden age of when crossing from one sim to another was as smooth as walking around in the sim you're already at, and wandering around a sim was smooth
