Okay, I developed the strangest problem a month or so ago. Excited with voice I decided to activate the speech gestures in the default library folder. After using them for awhile I decided I really didn't like them so I went to deactivate them. To my surprise, even though they showed as deactivated in my inventory, I would still wave my arms around when I spoke into my mic.

I'm by no means a noob too computers or SecondLife for that matter and did all the obvious things to correct this. Cleared my cache, uninstalled, deleted anything related to the program on my computer, but still cannot stop doing the gestures when I speak into my mic.

I found a Linden nice enough to take the time to troubleshoot my problem without any success. So I bug reported this and searched the JIRA and thankfully I found someone with the same issue. So I posted my experience and was happy to see some Lindens were looking at the issue. There still has been no fix for this however.

If anyone else is experiencing this problem, could you please bug report this issue and go to https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2345
and leave a post there letting them know you have this issue as well.

I'm not sure how many people are experiencing this bug, or are even aware it is happening. Hopefully more than a handful of us are experiencing this, because I don't want to be waving my hands and arms around forever.

try this,

- untick Enable Voice Chat from Preferences
- goto Inventory -> Gestures -> Speech Gestures, Take Off Items
- tick Enable Voice Chat from Preferences

No sorry. That was one of the first things tried. When I press ctrl-G and bring up the active gestures window the voice gestures show themselves as loading all the time. When I speak into the mic they become bold just like any gesture would when it is still active. I have even deactivated all my gestures yet those remain and show as loading. It has been this way for a month now.

After everything I have tried, I am pretty sure something is messed up on the server end with these things.

Stuck voice gestures

Press Ctrl G. The list of active gestures will appear. Left click the active speech gesture, click edit, another box opens uncheck the ACTIVE box on the bottom left. That deactivates them.

Hope it works!

It doesn't even let me edit them. Thanks for the suggestion. I know it is a problem on LL's end of things and really only made this thread to alert others with the problem so they can go to the JIRA and post their issue as well.

Again, thanks for the trying to help. :)

I've been having the same problem for like 6 months now. Does anybody know of a fix for this?
