Ok since the addon of the new TOS my video card has been flipping out. Now when I enter SL it does all sorts of seemly random triangles that shoot out from various avatars and/or shiney objects. Turning off ripple water, shiney objects, and avatar vertex sometimes does help but turning them all off or any combination there off does not always work including turning them all on or off. Updated my graphics drivers since the error occured and it helped for a few days. Running Nvidia GeForce 7900GT/GTO drivers. Full Sized Screenshot included

/me looks at the screenshot...

You sure you don't have a Tempest game running in the background again? :P

If nobody else knows what's wrong and changing some settings seems to help, you might try resetting everything back to defaults - could be that you did some weird key combo by mistake and changed something. The First Look Island has a notecard about running the perf tests and talks about resetting everything to defaults - I'll drop you a copy..

See I thought about that but the settings change on which will work. Like musical chairs. Also I didn't change any buttons cause if I did they would be the debug options and those reset every time you run SL...and these happen before I touch a key. I'll try to run this though and see how it works.

ok Here are the stats using the normal viewer in it's default state. As I was doing the notecard the error returned so after testing I tried a trick. I turned off ripple water (SL set it) and it made a new graphics error (the error changes always). Then It turned off avatar vertex and shiny in that order and it was ok. Then just for giggles I turned shiny and avatar back on....and I was ok. This will not always work though. Logging back in causes the problem to reappear and sometimes those buttons will not work or that trick.
