Hello,
I'd like for new IMs to remain the size at which you resize the IM window, not blow it up again whenever you open a new IM (currently it keeps resetting the IM size with every new one you open). The previous version did that, I can't see why it was changed, as it's quite an inconvenience to those of us who want to retain the text size and not change UI size in general.
Thanks.

I'm experiencing this as well. When using a non-default IM window size, opening a new tab resizes the window horizontally to the default width, and closing a tab resizes it horizontally and vertically to the default size.

Yep same here...was advised to bug report it, eventhough they already apparently know about it.
*sigh*

OMG! I absolutely HATE the size of the IM box now! I am a DJ and get multiple IMs and the thing is so honking big it covers up half the screen! Please, please give us back the IM box the way it was!!

This bug and half a dozen others about the IM window have been reported already and acknowledged by bug hunters as "known issue".
