Just also noticed, you can no longer take a landmark from a find listing in the places section?

Previously, I would find a location/place in Find and then take a landmark and then give the landmark to people...

Again, have i missed something?

I saw this gone too, I loved that feature...I hope it was an oversite and Lindens are adding it back..as I used to look thru, add landmarks, and later go visit them..

makes it so now I have to look, and go right away, or make a notecard, but what a pain, before was so easy, now so hard..

Yes please add this back....My swiss cheese brain can't remember the name of a place that someone mentions in conversation later, and I'm too polite to tp there and get a landmark and go back to the conversation.

Landmarks from picks too would be good - people have asked for a landmark from a pick and I don't have it and I'm not going to TP across the world to get it for them...

Yes I'd like this back, PLEASE.

There's a conspicuously LARGE gap where the button used to be, and I used to make YUGE lists of landmarks for my explorations. The current behavior makes it a lot harder to share landmarks with friends across IM, too.

Don't know why it was taken out, but that being said, please put it back in Lindens. Thanks!

The removal of this feature has to do with a permissions oversight. By using various methods it was possible to collect landmarks on land that were marked "no landmark". I do not see the reason for this permission in the first place. Or it has to do with how landmarks are handled now. 1.6 landmarks work differently then pre-1.6 landmarks. The difference is that pre-1.6 landmarks are tied to the global position. 1.6 landmarks are tied to the sim. So if the sim moves the destination of the landmark moves. The issue may have to do with getting the new landmarks properly tied to the destination sim.

Actually nm, cuz really does all that mean we are NEVER going to get this feature back EVER again?
Thats mostly what I'd like to know.

I'm with Torley on this, it has messed up exploring, sharing landmarks, and as a person who helps new people - I used to whip thru the Places, and peoples profile picks and be able to snag landmarks for folks.

Its also a PAIN when you are putting together info notecards of helpful places. I spent 2 hrs doing that (fly to location, crash on the way, relog, get to location, make LM - fly to next one, rinse and repeat) when in the past it would have taken me two minutes. Arghh.

Someone please tell me this is going to be fixed back how it was....

I really need a cry smiley but the frownie will suffice

I second this.. please put landmarks from picks...

I can't tell anyone now.. "click my picks and grab a friendly landmark" but hold on, let me load my entire inventory, open my landmark folder.. wait, hold on, is loading.. hang in there I will give you a landmark sooner of later... Search for it.. oh wait.. click the sort, by name.. ohhh there is it.. my landmark!!! "hello?, you still there?" lol

Pleaseeeeeeeee!!! fix this!!
