The new portable color picker may be a step up for Windows users, but it's a significant step back for those of us who play SL on Macs. The Mac color picker is way more functional, and yes I really do use a significant number of those features. Please give us an option to use the native OS color picker!

I second that emotion. Definitely a step backwards.

Seconded and Thirded !!
I use the Mac colour picker all the time, I can't believe we're losing it !
How you possibly expect to improve on the system picker, a device that is a standard across all Mac applications ?

i agree, or you agree with me... as i posted yesterday /142/4a/37581/1.html

kelly answered and said i raised some good points but nothing about the possibility of at least having the choice of the SL or mac color picker.

I come from a Mac background, and I really really like (and miss) the crayon picker when on Windows PCs. It was so delightful and fun and just really handy. I dunno how difficult it'd be to allow the option of "default SL color picker" and "native system color picker", but here's my gentle voice on this one. *raises paw* :)

NEVAR! You tawdry color vixens, you!

But seriously, if an option can be made available, that would be cool. It's a shame to have functionality go backwards.

I agree - definitely a backward step. Give us the choice please.

If you're going to support native color pickers, then would it be possible for the Linux port to support the GTK-2 color picker? Between the RGB plot, the HSV wheel+triangle, the CMYK picker, and the watercolor picker, it's got almost as many options as the Mac color picker.

I don't even know what that is but now that you mentioned it, I have to find out!!! :)

A choice would be wonderful... but I will choose the native color picker. :)

...Or just duplicate the functionality of the other color picking modes in SL. Whichever seems to be best for the LL bototm line. :)

Yet another vote in favor of the Mac color picker. :)

With an eyedropper tool! :D

I agree. That color picker is the best when you need to save colors to color a bunch of objects the same.

I really love the native OS X color picker. With that said, I hate being popped out of fullscreen mode so that I can access it.

I'm on the fence here, but I almost prefer keeping the new one.
