third attempt can't log in

got home ,downloaded the update, then restarted the computer and it hangs about an inch into the bar on load up. Reboot, tried again, no go, second time no go. third the same. Net works fine, email works fine.
any ideas or is the grid down?

no as its been said in about 100 other threads the grid just came up theres like 5000 ppl trying to log in all at once, just keep at it ... the load will go down probally in the next hour or so
