Before i go into details let me say this:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a new copy of second life
I have updated my drivers again
I have an up to date computer with good graphics card
I have emptied my cache 14 times today and relogged

My group was trying to practice today for a performance we are putting on next sunday
(theoretically) of our Bagpipe and Drum Corp and Highland Dancers;

Problem I/WE had during practice:

1. Could not send IM on group channel to communicate

2. Could not use chat box for communication

3. Could not access inventory items to play music or send to others

4. When we were able to get to the music... the sound was constant start/stop alernating with each sound clip. It has never done this before using this music script.

5. Extremely long rez times .

6. People standing next to the stage could not hear the instument.

If this continues we will not be able to perform under these circumstances. It is very frustrating as we are trying. to do something nice and fun for ourselves and others besides use the program as a global bedroom. I am sure the pose balls probably work ok. don't see any complaints about those.

I am very upset that i can not play this game or function since a pay a lotof money each month in fees, land tier, and program activities.

Is there any hope that someday soon we will be able to use the program and function as we should be able to?

What kind of internet connection do you have? Are you experiencing any packet loss? Is the region you're in overloaded?

Since I have none of these performance issues (the worst I ever have it is at malls when rezzing can take a while longer due to the number of textures) let me tell you my specs and I'll try to help any way I can (and I have never cleared my cache or uninstalled SL): HP Pavillion, Pentium D, 2GB RAM, ATI X1600PROM 512MB, Comcast Cable, Linksys Router. I set draw distance to 128, and have every graphical feature active/maxed out. I routinely patrol seven regions (including a sandbox that I manually clean) and explore when I'm not programming (I leave SL in the background, unminimzed, while doing development).

Feel free to respond here or IM me and I will try to troubleshoot if I can.
