Downhill Fast

During the last few months my SL experience has gone downhill fast. Slow rezzing--even on an open space sim when there are no other avatars present, the number of prims are under limit, and I am wearing basic clothes, no hair and running two or three personal scripts such as flight override and face light.

Mainland is absolutely impossible. I am typically not able to move more than a two or three clicks of my arrow keys before becoming frozen. Sometimes needing to log-off. This rarely happened several months ago. What has haoppened?

Lag today has been a complete shocker! On my OS it's all flashing, thank god I am not epileptic

Same here.
Been here since 2004 and SL seems to be falling apart nowadays - Hardly any updates that seem to positively enhance the SL experience anymore, almost impossible to communicate with LL or report bugs (the JIRA is a joke). I've been logging in less and less because of technical problems and no real signs of any improvements (can't log in at all at the moment).
I get the impression that LL seem to be concentrating more on the "SL Grid" product thingy and less on the core user experience.
It's a shame, but it's just getting really tedious and not much fun anymore.

I just joined SL and I was really disappointed. I kept freezing and at one point, I found myself swimming in mid-air! I'm glad I found this forum to learn that this is not the experience SL is supposed to offer. Being a newbie, I"ll keep my eyes open and hope to see improvements, but from the sound of it, seems like the problems are only mounting and nothing is being done about it. That it's only going to get worse. I sure hope not. I was looking forward to the SL experience.

What you are experiencing is some major upheavals in SL at the moment, while they expand the database systems and pipelines, along with client and server code updates. I can't put my hand on my heart and say, you will know when it settles down, because 'normal' life in SL is always an 'experience' lol.
