With the recent "upgrade" the resorce servers are not functioning correctly....this affects everything from land tier, to inventory. I have been "working" on clothing and what not in the last couple days....So far, i've had well over $L350 worth of uploaded textures disapear from my inventory, and a ton of items I created, scripts I modified, and clothing produced....lost to the wind (First person to surgest using Inventory serch, or recent history will be put into a vat of super glue ^-^ ).
This in my opinion, this is loss of time, which translates into loss of sales, which translates into loss of $L...

As far as I have been able to determine, LL has a "no reimbursement" policy. I have seen many people ask for, demand, and plead for reimbursement, and to my (admittedly inexperienced) knowledge it has never happened.

Linden Labs bought land around the former Telehubs, when they converted them into Info Hubs, because they admitted that what they did dramaticlly decreased the value of property in the area.

Shippou..we all feel your pain here. But don't expect any Linden support or reimbursement. I'm an estate manager for two sims which include alot of revenue generating activities for the owners. Since 2 previous updates we've been battling the Lindens to fix one of the sims. The tier on these is $200.00 per month each! The sim with most of the revenue generating activity is almost unusable. Yet, the Lindens offer no support, technical or otherwise and will not reimburse nor credit the owners for faulty sims.

The only thing the Lindens have done is come out analyze the sim and tell us its broke.
How enlightening of them. The owners of these sims just hold on in the hopes that L L will actually move the sim to a different server as promised many times, or fix the problems.

So for all practical purposes, The owners of these sims pay $400.00 per month and are unable to use one of them. The Lindens have a policy of no reimbursement. Lack of service, you get what you get...be happy with it.

The theory here is that the Lindens will snap up the land and resell it as is when the owners either tier down or abandon the property. Thats how they make more money without giving us paying folks anything in return.

Just don't hold your breath expecting any support or reimbusement..

Sorry but in this case id have to cancel the payments on my credit cards, let the faulty islands go back and try and buy a new one that works. As in real you do have recourse if your using credit cards, call your banking institution and ask about a dispute resolution. Advise them of the time you have given LL to resolve the problem and you still do not have a product that works. Sorry but at that amount of money, i'd have to take drastic measures, including disputing the payment for the original island.

Might you be refering to the case where a guy managed to aquire large amounts of land cheaply via a method advertised on the site and LL shut down his account and reclaimed ALL of his land--even that which he purchased legitimately?

Yeah but what about the 1250 USD we island owners invested to get the island..? its not just the 195 USD per month.

They should change the customer agreement to:

"Please be aware that SL does not do what it says on the box, and that is just hard luck... but if you wouldnt mind continuing to finance our venture we will be sure to subject you to random service regressions and system failures.

In the event of believing you have found a bug or fault in our product or service, please consider it to be your fault and/or mistake.

For customer service complaints, please talk to the hand."

I need to find this funny.... its the only remaining option.

I am not gonna quit damn it! :D
I like the pain!
Anyway...

Realize that if you do this, it is likely that LL will not do business with you in the future. Once you dispute a payment with them, I don't think they would sell you another island.
