or What The Crap Has Happened To The Plants & Trees In The Preview!?!!? (I have submitted a bug report on this phenomena.) I logged in to the Preview for the first time in a few weeks and surprisingly beamed in smack dab in the middle of the Forest of Kahruvel. After realizing that the Lindens had added Stinson, Rodeo, Noyo and Cowell to the preview grid I started checking out the area and noticed something just wasn't right... ...most or all of the Linden-created ferns and pine trees I had planted had suddenly grown much larger. The original main grid counterparts to these flora are much smaller. Has anyone else noticed this effect? If this flourishing foliage makes it to the Main Grid there may be some happy campers... but there will be even more folks gnashing their teeth at all the yard work this is going to make for them. Not to mention the trees on Linden land that will undoubtedly begin making their presence known when people find branches poking through the walls and into their spaces. Where's my chainsaw! Here are some side-by-side shots showing the preview plant problem, Main Grid on the left and Preview Grid on the right:

From: Osprey Therian Here I am next to some giant eelgrass Is that giant eelgrass in the Preview and is it larger than it's Main Grid counterpart?

Wow, nice catch. You should bug-report this in the preview client if you haven't already.

From: Kazuo Murakami As usual... total silence... It's the weekend. I'm sure they'll look into it once they return to the office on Monday.

This is a weird one, planting a fern and looking at the measurements between 1.6 and 1.7 they look exactly the same, but the actual fern is probably about twice as big in 1.7

Is it possible, they've decreased the repeats on the texture? If the object size is staying the same?

Thanks for finding this one. I don't know of a reason that it would be happening -- I will be sure to follow up with the developers first thing Monday morning!

Salazar, it's eelgrass in the preview grid - and usually eelgrass is about... ooh... hip-high. That eelgrass is over my head. I noticed the out-sized plants but somehow it just didn't get into the word part of my brain until you wrote your post.
