Ever since the new client update, I've been having quite a few graphical issues.
1) Avatars that are more than a few 'feet' away look like they're old NES graphics - all blotchy and blocky - and their animations are all stop-motion in appearance.
2) The screen is hit by bright lights every so often, flooding everything with pink and yellow flashes of light.
3) Wonky angles - my shoulders and back look like absolute crap - with giant spikes flying off into nowhere.
4) Parts of buildings are eating into the rest of the building, like part of the wall is transparent.
The sky and water are beautiful, but the rest is absolutely awful. I have a Radeon 9800 and it worked perfectly before this update, and now it's just bad-looking.

if someone could please address this issue, I am having the exact same problem. I have tried everything: tried new graphic card driver, rolling back driver, etc. I am really losing interest in sl fast.

I don't get the triangles filling the screen but the lighting does lurch about and ppl suddenly go full bright for no apparent reason it doesn't seem to be at any particular distance. I also get the 16 bit pixal ppl but I think thats something they've added to reduce load and increase frame rates you can alleviate it a little with the graphics settings my biggest headache seems to be jerky av movements even though its running over 30fps freeze move freeze move ....it seems to be some issue with havok4 I have an 7300GT nvidia card just wondering if a driver change would stop it?

The 'Lego ppls' feature is called Avatar Impostors.. you can turn that off in the Graphics tab.
Turn off Vertex Object Buffers by clicking the Hardware Settings button also in the Graphics tab, if you are using a ATI card... OpenGL drivers issue.
World, Environment Settings, Environment Editor.... Advanced Sky.... Lighting... reduce scene gama to suit your screen settings, adjust sun size and focus.... Save... Default.
Make all available settings in Catylist Controller programme to 'Let Application Decide'

Is it possible to adjust the draw distance ?
In previous version of the viewer I could see the joints of my floor. I saw them at the end of the floor from my viewpoint. Now they are showing well nearby , at the end The texture is all blur !
I did read this somewhere : "The Lindens have added a behaviour in which the viewer will prematurely ‘clip’ rendering of objects that are within your draw distance until you zoom in on them, even if you are already facing them."
Is this true and can it be adjusted ?
This viewer is a step back for the custom textures, The clouds and water is very nice tough.
Sorry for my bad English

Sorry for my bad English Deslect 'Avatar Impostors' in Graphics preferences. Check Basic shaders and advanced Shaders for greater quality.
