I just received a spam for some free money scam item of some sort, and it came from (user unknown), so I couldn't select a name for the abuse report. I was going to just give up and mute it, but when I did so, the spammer's name showed up in my Muted Resident list. I think. Too late for the screenshot for the AR, though.

I thought those inventory transfer dialogs were supposed to show the sender?

I'm seeing this now on innocent inventory transfers, too. Seems there's a bug identifying the sender, and maybe not an explot as I originally thought.

there was a griefter attack in alocation i was in early today. 100000 or boxs of TMNT shout rude and racist remarts. and there was noway to see who sent them blue box and no persons name. Oh so this is what we get for opening the source right? More disstructive then constructive events.

Dont blame open source for that.
In fact, i told a few young people (in WoW) about SL, and many of them answered :
'it would be great fun to go there and cause some havoc'.
I tell you, those Kids nowadays... *sigh* :(

Maybe that in particular is related to today's "database crashes"
