Edit values glitch - difficulty editing fields

I downloaded the newest client, the optional release that came out after the last maintenance work. It's got a serious glitch in the editing feature.

If you select a prim, and try and edit a value for the prim, such as it's x-size, you can't reliably highlight the value to edit it. for example, I have a value of 2.875. I want to put my cursor between the 8 and the 7, then highlight the '2.8' to replace it with '1.3'. But what happens as I drag the cursor left is that only one character at a time gets highlighted. If you backspace from a point in the middle, it deletes characters to the right of the cursor, after the first one! The only way to change the value is to click after the last digit, and backspace all of it away, then enter the new value.

Had the same problem trying to rename an item in inventory. Tried changing "House 1.01 - 1/5 scale" to "House 1.2 - 1/5 scale", and had to backspace all the way back to the space after the 'e' in house, and type the rest of the line over again, because I couldn't replace just the '01' with '2'.

Hopefully tomorrows update won't have this bug!

SL has always done this, if you hit the INSERT key to turn off INSERT mode.

I have no idea why they think this mode is a good idea, it's the weirdest damn replace mode I've ever seen, and I was freaked out the first time I saw it too.

Try hitting the insert key, see what it does.

Thank you! It came back to normal after I logged off and back on again. I have no idea how I hit the Insert key. I use a Mac, and it's less easy to get to on a Mac keyboard than on a PC. Oh well... At least now I know what it was!
