If anyone else can verify or at least be aware there's a possible problem :).

---

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2116

Repro of the bug:
* tp over to a sim that borders on the void
* rez a prim, drag-copy one right next to it to form a rectangle
* link the two together so that the prim closest to the border is the child prim and the prim further away from the border is the parent prim
* drag the linkset as far up to the border as it will go (the child prim now hangs into the void/off-world)
* unlink the linkset

Observations:
* the root/parent prim stays put since it's within the region (correct behaviour)
* the child prim vanishes since it's off-world (correct behaviour)
* the child prim is *not* returned to inventory resulting in content loss (bug)

(The bug occurs with all objects that go off-world through non-physical means(*), not simply when they're unlinked but unlinking is the only sure way I know to force prims to go off-world)

(Repro'ed on Havok1 and Havok4 on the beta grid, on Havok4 on the main grid and with full permission prims and restricted permissions prims)

(*) I just realized that pushing a physical object off-world is the easiest way, but it does return then. Prims that go off-world through other means (in my case a script pet), or are dragged off-world (part of the build I was working on) which is a bug in itself, or unlinked as in the repro do fail to return though.

Actually I had this happen under Havok 1 as well. I'm not sure it's *new*, but I agree it's undesirable. You would also lose items above 768m if the sim restarted, just gone, no return. However, since they upped the ceiling, I'm hoping that's no longer the case... :) If I get a chance tonight I'll try to repro.

I wasn't sure at first :). It used to return items just fine (or at least shove them into the sim corner when bugged) a while ago.

I did try it on a Havok1 sim on the beta grid though and it didn't return there either so it's not related to Havok4 and probably broken for a while now.
