Major Errors as of Yesterday

For me, at least.

In the past 24 hours, searching came to a stand-still, up until hours later, where it worked, but it took 30+ seconds to complete a search.

Next, I can't teleport anywhere. I've been wandering an island for a whole day now because I cannot teleport anywhere.


Worst of all: Payments are messing up. I spent 130 L on some stuff, only to find I paid but never received the product. Luckily the owner was in the store and had to give me the product herself. Earlier, I wasn't able to pay at all, because SL was telling me the request to pay was "stale". What if there are people paying thousands of L for products that they aren't getting, but not noticing till later? Unacceptable! My brother is experiencing the same issues, along with the shop owner I mentioned, upon talking to her.

Don't get me wrong, I love SL to death, but there are SO many damned things wrong with it that it still feels like a v 0.01 beta. After 4 years. Wow.

And then this NEW batch of errors! I mean, they are no doubt temporary, but LL really needs to get their act together.

The problems are done now, but still...

There was a time back when sitting on a vendor would trigger it to sell products for 0L.
I am sorry to hear that you lost money, have you ttried to contect the owner of the vendor? Good creators take care of lost or never received items.

The blogs stated that there were going to be serverside restarts throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, a good indication not to try doing anything other than hang out until they are done.. However, what has annoyed me, is that I never got the usual 'Hi this is <insert linden name here> we are restarting this region in <insert spamming minutes and seconds here> messages... they just did it.

the "I paid but got nothing" issue can actually be traced to llEmail. Most networked vendors rely on emails sent from the vendor, to a central "server"... the items are then delivered by the server.

if the emails never get through, or take too long, then you don't get what you paid for.
