First, I tried clicking on "edit linked parts" to change the texture. Wouldn't take. I put the texture on each side individually of that prim.

Could live with it.

But when I got on later, I tried to make the side of a rail prim blank, so I could color it black to match the rail texture on the front and back.

One prim, unlinked - clicked on the texture - clicked texture box - clicked blank - nothing. It remains plywood, period.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Any workaround for it?

The texturing works as normal *but* changes only get applied/shown after you close the texture selection panel with "select"

Annoying as hell, yes >.<;

You can also apply the texture by hitting the preview checkbox.. seems the box will not stay checked (and it won't be checked after you click it.. bug), and that is what is keeping the texture from showing on the prim.
