Well, since around 10am PDT I have noticed that my Lindens have slowly dropped and items in my inventory are either not loading or disapearing. I origionally thought this was a loading error until other people started to scream that their lindens & inventory was disapearing.
Other users with this issue too is BellaDonna Lilliehook and Striker Dryke.
I am running into others noticing the issues too. They range from a bit of money gone to hundreds of lindens. A few people have lost almost their entire inventory.
Is there a database problem or what?

I lost 2000 items from inventory earlier, i clear cache everytime i log into SL so that it clears each time I relog. I relogged about 4 times and the inventory reappeared.
But...I have noticed huge packet loss spikes everywhere I go, even on class 5 server sims with only 2 people on them. I was convinced my system was dying but now Im not so sure.

Try this: - leave yourself logged in for a bit - 10 minutes or so - with the Inventory open and on the Recent Items tab - do *not* clear the cache - relog Notice any difference with how much of your inventory is there when you relog? Any change in packet loss?

Packet loss and latency issues we noted in all areas I visited last night, its a sign that the Lindens are fondling the server-side code in preparation for the update, thats not uncomon. The adverse effect is that there is a loss of communication between the server (sim) you are on and the asset servers. Historically, this takes a day or two to settle down as everything migrates throughout the grid.
