That happens now since how long, 3-4 Monts? Initially I reported every time this happened, now its just plain annoying. Possible that it is such a hard bug to fix?

Yes, this has been happening to me since I first joined in October, every new version I keep thinking "surely it's fixed now", but nope. I consider it a game now, I make a little bet with myself. "If the viewer crashes when I empty the trash, I'll go do the dishes, if not, I'll keep playing."

A few tricks i've learned for dealing with the bug which is still not fixed:
When you first login in, you can empty your trash no problems at all.
After being online for over 10 min then it starts; The longer you are online the more likely you are to crash. Emptying the trash will crash, but purging 1 by 1 frequently is okay.
The exception to purging 1 by 1 is if a folder is involved. This bug seems to hate folders being deleted and purged. So i'll delete & purge the contents of the folders, but not purge the folder itself until the next login. This seems to work well enough. I haven't crashed using this method in around 8 weeks now (knock on a plywood prim)
