Why say Shortly?

Hello fellow SL waiters.

I don't know how many others here feel the same way or it's just me but Lindens please treat us like adults. Tell us the truth do not use (Up Shortly.)

I would be More then happy to see (We are working to fix the problem as fast as we can. It may take acouple of hours or more but we are working hard to bring you the best service as we can. Thank you for waiting and enjoy your time while we all do what we can to bring the grid back up.

Why can't they just say the truth and not treat us like we are a bunch of kids who still think there is a tooth fairie or Santa?

Ok well the latest info was that they are currently working on all of the issues currently plaguing the new patch. It may take a few hours to correct, but please be patient. Also, again, not to be rude but reading the current posts which are well over 60+ titles on these forums will answer these questions too. Unfortunately everyone seems to be discussing the same issues across many many posts instead of collectively making one post and sticking to that.

People are upset

many of us work for aliving and this downtime means many do not get to log on tonight.

I for one would have enjoyed seeing my friends and working on building but I am unable to do to this downtime.

I've seen nothing from SL Patches that helps more then it hurts.

Over the last year I've read a lot of We're making this or that better. When all they do is turn SL into more and more grey nonrezzed land.

It's tough to not be upset when patch day really just means no log on day.

saying it will be up in 4 hrs or giving us an outside limit on eta would be more helpfull i believe. This is getting really bad

Saying it will be up in four hours will get you 600 rant posts at 4 hours, 1 minute.

Shortly is not measurable, therefore it is safer. The grid's up when it's up.

They know with all the downtime lately, folks are losing patience with SL. I'm sure they're doing their best to get the grid back up. Unfortunately, the corporate push lately seems to be ignoring things that are broken and forging full speed ahead. It's plowing under a lot of avatars, unfortunately. I hope they wise up.
