Version 1.18.0.6 won't install on Mac - corupted?

Hi, the new 1.18.0.6 won't install on the Macintosh, the update appears to be corrupted. The error message is 'the disk image failed to mount'. Any help is appreciated.

I'm on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS 10.4.10.

Ok, the blog indicated there was a problem with 1.18.0.6 for the Mac. I downloaded the new version of 1.18.0.6. This updated version of 1.18.0.6 was not corrupted, and installed for me. That's the good news.

The bad news, 1.18.0.6 doesn't connect. When I bring up the 1.18.0.6, and then attempt to connect, it sits for about 5 mintues, doing nothing that I can see, and then crashes. Tried this twice already with the same result.

it wont even start to donwload for me says there is a problem with my internet firewall ...this is when its either on or off!

I saw that problem when trying to upgrade to 1.17.3.1 yesterday.

OK, finally got 1.18.0.6 to work. I had to clear the cache first.

Jamie, the problem you're having is a known updater bug. You just skip using the updater, and instead go to www.secondlife.com and download the viewer from scratch.

What would be a cleaner solution, is not to have to go to second lifes website at all. During a update, the forums etc get swamped, when all you need is the link to the amazon download server, why they don't host a webpage there fails logic.
