Ok I can't contribute to an existing thread...probably my inept ability having only had one cup of coffee...but it strikes me as odd that some things are happening in Second Life, and as I've said to my work/social associates in game, I believe that we are the last of a generation in game that remembers a smoothe grid experience, and that the generations to come will bring about significant changes, maybe not for the better, of the grid.

I've seen a post recently that stated the individual was paying $9.99/monthly and for that expected reasonable game play. I empathize. I pay $22.60 quarterly and $125 monthly, and I assure you that I too find these "hiccups" discouraging. If this were a vehicle that I had leased from a dealership, be assured I'd be taking it in and demanding that either my vehicle was repaired/replaced, or that my money refunded so I could take my business elsewhere.

Therein is the problem! I've built up a business, I enjoy my time (for the most part) when I'm in game! The problem seems to get to its most brilliant when users in game logs over 15 thousand.

To this end, I'd suggest the following:

Until such time as existing problems can be resolved, halt new members from entering the grid. If Linden Labs can't provide a 100% product, don't keep selling it. On the other hand, There's a sucker born every minute! :O) Look at me!

Remove the ability to create alternate av's without deleting existing ones. Multiple Personalites.....so I create 20 alts, send them to sit in camping spots, make me money, and clog up the grid. Fun.

Believe it or not, I don't have one single alt! Rimmy K is all I have or have need of.

Whether we want to admit it or not, LL's has us by the "dignities". They can pretty much give us whatever they want, and we have to take it. I own an up and comming club in a mainland sim. I want to provide the best possible experience for my clients and performers without having to contend with....floating through sim upon sim until finally I'm travelling in negative co-ordinates, wondering if I'll meet myself and Captain Kirk....

Believe it or not, nothing's going to happen without organization...Is there a Land-Owners Association out there outside of Dreamland? If there ain't, IM me and let's get on the ball with this thing! Its been said that organzing won't do anything...well...to a point I agree. The only way things would change is if we all stopped paying for...let's face it people, a substandard product. Its not nice, but its the truth!

Worst case scenario is they don't fix it, and I pack up my goodies, LL's is out my $125/mo and $22.60/quarterly. It'd just be nice for a change if someone upstairs did the right thing, even if it meant inconveniencing people who don't pay for the priviledges I do!

This is a good thing if it works right! Make it work right!

Where will your business be without a constant influx of new people looking to pay you? ;)
