1.8.1.9 lets me choose more graphics memory than I have.
This leads to false hopes, and sadness.

I had that problem intermittently before a version or two or three ago. I have it again in this preview version.
Does It do any harm?
Can we see any difference in the video ram usage now?

Can we see any difference in the video ram usage now? Will do harm on lower systems more if 32/64Mb people select say 256, as it will use system ram for the textures and this gets very slow. I have seen some changes to the texture console, and yes i think its able to use more ram now, although it wont be maximum as it seems to have some lod factor on texture quality i guess, but if you saturate your close view with lots of textures it can go higher, also opening that map can also add about 100Mb to the gl mem
