Anyone find that the pie menu system was much more usable/fast when it didn't close after every selection? For a version or so, one could right click on their avatar and go to remove > clothing and then proceed (without the pie menu closing) to click each item they wished to remove. Now it is back to closing after each selection. It seems to me it's much faster to have to press right click > remove > clothing > shirt, pants, shoes than right click > remove > clothing > shirt, right click > remove > clothing > pants and finally right click > remove > clothing > shoes. Why go through those first steps three times instead of one? Perhaps I missed some wide spread distaste or complaining about this *feature*, but it seemed really handy to me. And yes I realize this has been changed for quite some time now, but i'm just now bored and annoyed enough to say something.

I agree.
I think the problem was that it didn't go away after you removed all your clothing, and instead of having it go "oh, it's an empty menu, maybe I should close it" they just closed it every time.

I too was suprised to see this in the 1.7 release notes as a bug fix: From: someone * Pie Menu disappears when detaching clothing
I agree, it's time to upgrade this bug to a feature!

Looks like you guys like PIE! So... out of sheer curiosity, anyone who prefers the current behavior more? And anyone else who likes the "old way", please express here.

Just to confirm, I like my pie the 'old way'. It stays when I take bits off.

I vote for "the old way, but close when there's nothing left to display".

I vote for no pie (yikes!). I just wanted to mention that I have always found the pie menu to be counter intuitive and arbitrarily limiting. Okay, so it's kind of cute. But beyond that, from a usablity standpoint, it's pure poo. A pie offers nothing of value over a standard cascading list-style menu. Instead, what it does is limit the number of concurrent menu selections, necessitating the goofy "More" selection. Also, a pie menu is hard to organize and/or sort for ease-of-use.
So, how about we just can the pie entirely?

I like the pie menu, and I wish it was a standard part of every GUI toolkit. All too many GUI apps, when they implement a pie menu, make something garish and distracting. The SL one is just about right... it'd be nice if the size of the pie adjusted to the text rather than the other way around, but otherwise I have no major complaints.
