Me and a friend have noticed that avatars are shaking (about 5 pxiels up and down) since the optional update. Anyone else noticed this? It's starting to drive us nuts!

Are you wearing any scripted attachments that might be using timers or something? These seem to cause twitching somtimes.

It's not a new thing, sadly. If you are wearing attachments, and some prims in these attachments change appearance (colour, transparency, size, whatnot) then each such change to attachment prim seems to make SL recalculate the centre of attachment/your AV for some reason, and because these calculations can be temporarily off by couple centimetres, it causes noticeable jumping up/down :/

It's not just caused by color- or alpha-changing attachments. I wear nothing like that and experience this problem, and have seen it on two friend's machines as well. Neither of those friends wear much in the way of attachments. And the "earthquake" effect is happening *most* of the time now, whereas previously it was just an occasional thing. Very disturbing, and is giving me a headache

Agreed. The Earthquake effect has happened a lots I have to put auto-positioning script on every object that move by itself now. (So far only those with llSetPos/llSetRot inside)
But yea, they're real boring.
