Why not add an option that let's you either disable popups added to inventory or let you only accept items from friends/group list.

What about when you go shopping? They will also have to allow you to accept object when you initiate transactions.

It's not the object popups, I'm referring to the pictures. Just have them put into your inventory without the popups to show you what it look like.

How about not having them put in your inventory, with a popup asking if you want to accept the snapshot/texture/notecard?

It'll kill all the fun for spam griefers when they can no longer take over your screen or flood your inventory :p

Yes, but won't you get multiple popups for that still asking?

All popups go in the same place, the top right of the screen. When you get multiple popups, they stack over each other without interfering with your gameplay. That's why the spam griefers don't use prims :)

In that case, they could add an option (1 popup per avatar). And if you don't hit anything, the rest bounce back to them. Cruel, but would stop griefing.
