The Adult change and some questions

Hi,

i wanted to know if the adult changes are only for the mainland owners ?

I have a sexbed shop and this shiop is on mainland.
I dont find my shop (normaly on page 1) in the search, when i deaktivate the "Adult" search option.
But i find shops which are on estate lands. This are some big shops too.

i think this is a bit unfair... And i doenst make sense to me that un verified people can teleport to the sex content shops, if the shops are estate land.

Can anybody explain me this ?

All businesses on the current Mainland will have to relocate tp the new adult continent, Zindra, which will only be accessable by verified accounts. Private Estate owners are responsible for setting their land to Adult as well, and they too are to be restricted to verified accounts only.

Blondin Linden has said that you can sell sex beds on mature land, you just can't advertise them. When the new definitions go into force, if those estates want to continue advertising sex beds they will have to designate their regions adult.

i looked at zindra today but when is it possible to buy land there ?
and what happens if no land is available ?

Zindra is not yet open for land auction. First, adult businesses will be given the opportunity to swap their mainland for land on Zindra. If you have a business, you can submit a ticket to Ll to apply for a swap. They will announce when to do so. Once that is done remaining land will be released to the public.

I believe Jack said there is additional Zindrs land offline that will be brought in as needed.

There will be land available if you have mainland now and your business belongs in the new place. From what i remember of your shop, you shouldn't have a problem getting the free swap.

...but not available in the land swaps. Those that _must_ move get to choose from a much smaller set of pickings. That's because it's all about choice, you know.

Yes, I was just addressing the "what happens if no land is available?" question from the OP's post saying she wanted to buy land.

people should realise that while lindens labs have said that payment info given either directly or through xstreet..will not be able to access adult private estate.

anyone who is not fully aristole verified will not be able to access private estate set to adult(yes repeating myself)

as currently the tools given to private estate do NOT recognise or give access to those that hav verified through payment details

I think you (or some people who own estates) are confusing the "Age verification" parcel and estate access restrictions with the region rating.

Estate owners can set a region's rating to "Adult", and it will be accessible to people who have age-verified through Aristotle, AND people who have account-verified through payment status.

They can also set a region or parcel to "age verified only". PIU and PIOF will not be able to enter that region. The solution, DON'T USE THAT FLAG, use the "Adult" region rating instead. That flag needs to be disabled by Linden Labs, it no longer serves any useful purpose except allowing naive estate owners to shoot themselves in the foot.

/me has read that twice today, maybe by the same poster - dunno, and have been meaning to ask this too...

Wouldn't classing a private island as adult instead of pg or mature do the same thing as the zindra regions? If not, I'd consider that a bug.

but yes alot of sim owners are ticking the age verified box and locking people out they probably don't want to loose

With the current SL client it is perfectly possible for an Estate Manager or Sim Owner to set a private sim to the same type of Sim-wide Adult Content access controls that are used in Zindra, and YES, those controls WILL allow someone who is payment info on file but not Aristotle verified to access the private sim.

If a private sim is "Set to adult" but only allows Aristotle verified people in, and not people who have payment info but no Aristotle, then the Sim owner set the restrictions up wrong, using the OLD parcel-based or sim'based restriction that ONLY accepts Aristotle. The setting to match Zindra's settings is the sim rating choice, not the access controls checkboxes.
