Just found that we could write text in UTF-8 on our profile, search field, and even the notecard. Yay, I've wanted to write Japanese on the notecard for a long time. Thank you.
But when I saved the notecard and re-opened it, I found all text change to nonsense letters. :(

Yeah I was clued in on that and was happy too. :) Does it mean the localisation project we all thought was put to sleep is moving below the surface? Anyhoo, most of us are not really desparate about having a localised client but in serious need of the ability to exchange lengthy text on notecards in our own language.

Not to derail the subject but the bug that makes your avatar go spinning after entering double-byte characters in chat or IM window is getting even worse. You build and you spin. You open your inventory and you spin. You hit Search and you go round and round and round.
From what I gather it's happening on Macs only and I know full well we are utter minority (speak Japanese and on Macs). I don't really think it will ever make it on LL's priority list but just thought I'd bring it up here. I think I'll file another bug report sometimes. :p
