Outside of the lack of intra-object communication, I have no major problems with the HUD as it currently stands. But, I do think a Mouselook-only HUD slot would serve aircraft and weapon builders, as well as first-person perspective games development. If a HUD slot needs to be removed, I would suggest the Center 2 slot to be replaced, as Center slot already fulfils it's purpose.

Well, we could detect when someone is in mouselook and set alpha on all prims depending on which HUD you want visible in and out of mouselook. Otherwise you'd get the same attachment competing for the same HUD attach slot.
