I am not impressed...

This latest client is awful. I was running SL fine, a little laggy here and there at heavy traffic points but nothing unusual. Then I get forced to update to the current viewer and....

I can -very- rarely Teleport without the "you have been logged out of Second Life" Message and have to quit out. I can -very- rarely cross sims without crashing. I managed to cross a sim today after at least 10 tries and not long after a second crossing guess what? I crashed. If I change clothes more than two or three times the clothes stop rezzing and I have to relog. I can't take more than two steps, even in a sim with only one other person in, without lag-floating off to outer space. Not being able to Sit on anything to stop this occurs a lot. Every time I edit something it takes twice as long, because SL thinks its funny to forget the last 1-3 moves I make with edit guides and move it back 1-3 steps. Things frequently go missing from my inventory and many of the new folders I have made have decided to rename themselves back to "new folder".

I am getting increasingly angry with the latest client and the seemingly zero effort from LL to fix it. This is happening on the latest viewer -and- the Release Candidate. It is making SL very unplayable for me. I have over and above the system requirements for SL and I keep my PC clean of spyware/viruses. Previous to this client I was running fine on the high graphics setting. I now have to have it on low with everything possible turned off for it to even let me walk.

For the love of saving peoples sanity PLEASE look into this and Fix it. Please.

Floating off to virtual never never land, folders reverting back to "new folder", not being able to walk, getting logged out on TP's, clothes not rezzing, edited prims reverting back to the original position all are symptoms of lost connection to the servers. When was the last time you reset your modem and router? Cleared your cache?

Do you have you router ports enabled properly?

Has there been a new main client released this year already, I'm still only finding 1.21.6 from Nov08?

i have a similar problem i can very rarely tp to certain islands and i just crash and end up under the island i'm currently in i've not had this problem on previous releases and as with the login scipt i also get this i reboot my modem every night clear my cache at least once a week and run an anti spyware and adaware program at least every other day but still have problems tp'ing from 1 island to another you are not alone i just hope they fix this problem with a new version soon

I did both two days ago I cleared my cache then went to reset the (modem) Router. It was working fine till I was forced to update.

With regards to ports, I am unable to check as the Landlord of the house won't let the residents into the router page. Would it help if I changed SL's port (In preferences) from the default?

I tried resetting my router and clearing my cache again after reading this, but I know a lot of people are experiencing the exact same issues as me. we can't -all- be having a bad router month, surely?

Other problems I encounter are groups not showing up in the groups tab, and if I try to get to the groups from my profile they act as if I am not in them (Cant do anything with them as all tabs, everything stays inaccessible). Rezzing takes about 15 minutes or so, and even after Avatars and textures will stay gray until I cam onto every grey part. I feel kinda rude camming my friends so they rezz.

Your not on your own,last few days have been terrible, cant tp anywhere takes forever, non stop flying, and laggy as hell since the new update!


Hope they sort it soon,my pc and sl was great till i did the update!!
