Thanks for cramming yet another community-ethics decision down our throats!
I certainly hope, for the sake of all those who've already "subscribed" to this option as a demonstration of support for you, that your IDV company IS prepared to indemnify us, not just you! With your track record of viewing us not as customers but as necessary-evil elements in your schema, I sincerely doubt you've taken two moments to know anything about what their protections will do for us!
I'll ask you, those of you in the LL boardroom...just like I ask every politician or public official who says they have "community concensus" on any pork-barrel issue (of which this is apparently another, unless you're intentionally deceiving us about the reasons-for-need): "How many people are you basing that 'concensus' on? Where did you talk to these folks? If you polled the community, where the HELL are your numbers? How many voiced a NEED for your pet project, and how many voiced concerns/reservations/dissent?" Come on, where are your numbers???!!!
Please, for the love of Mike (!), quit this PR double-speak! It is disengenuous, intellectually demeaning, and yes, dare I say it, BROADLY OFFENSIVE! Just once, can you please please please give us the context without all the freaking 12 and a half tons of sh**-eating double-talk???
Why are so many who work at LL, SO unable or unwilling to confront issues in a humble and humanly-effective fashion (please refer to blogs/activities of Torley, Iridium, Frontier, and others of their ilk, for role-models to emulate)...please, quit the crap and start to *RELATE* WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS, OUR AVATARS MAY BE VIRTUAL, BUT DAMN IT, WE ARE NOT!
