now as soon as I drive to the next sim the driver is seated still waves arms. But did'nt see any mention of this in the release notes. Is it part of the fix to avoid being seperated from yuor vehical during sim crossing? Becauase if that's why then I'm all for it. Just was thinking about making a hamster wheel drivin airship and that's not gonna work if the hamster sits on the wheel after it crosses to a new sim.

I think Racer's refering to one or more of his snail vehicles, upon which instead of being steated in place, the rider dances on top of while in motion. Apparently on a sim crossing, the legs cease to move while the arms continue to do so.

Racer, you know we love you and your stuff, but oy, sometimes your typing is incomprehensible! ;)

This is a bug with sit targets. If your script stops the standard sit animation, upon crossing a sim border, the standard sit animation is started with a priority of 4. The bug affects all sit targets, whether physical movement or non-physical movement is used. I've reported this to the lindens. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. (Possibly even in 1.6.1, the release notes indicated a bug fix for something regarding animations.)

This sounds familiar....

I was trying to ride my Jadewolf hoverbike around the Dacia/Luo/Tharu area recently (in 1.6) and periodically (possibly at sim boundaries) rather than maintaining the crouched motorcyclist pose scripted into the sit option on the vehicle, my av would sit upright and stick its hands up in the air as if being held at gunpoint, a wave animation would also sometimes be triggered. Glad to hear it's actually a known bug and may be fixed soon :)

Yeah, I actually thought at first it was some undocumented feature of driving into 'Damage Enabled' zones whereby you throw your hands in the air, wave and shout 'Hey don't shoot me !!', he he :D

Still seeing this in 1.6.3 too, been playing on jet-skis lately and do the 'throw hands in the air' most times I cross a sim border, so have to keep jumping off and getting back on to correct the pose.

The sit anim here is only that imposed by the vehicle..

:confused:

I worked last week with Dan Linden about this, just to get the bug nice and clearly defined. So, they know. I'm sure an upcomming patch will fix. :)

My work-around:

CODE
moving_start() // runs on sim crossings, too!
{
if( llGetPermissions() & PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION) llStopAnimation("sit");
}
