Since the last update i regularly see this message:
"Waiting for region handshake...."

After a while a message pops-up:
"Unable to connect. Login packet never received by login server."

The password field in the login screen is then blocked by the "Stand Up" button.

Tried a dozen times to login again but seems not possible anymore...
- My internet conection is OK.
- Restarted computer.
- Grid is open.
nothing helps.

Have had this now 3 or 4 times... since yesterday.
It happened during TP.

anyone a suggestion how to get in land again?
thanks.

Daniel

Hi Augyr,

thanks for your reply... it contributes to the idea that it is related to the new update and not to something in my PC or the connection.

Daniel.

At login screen, go to Preferences > General Tab > Start Location and then check the "Show Start Location on Login Screen" box underneath the dropdown menu.

Click "OK" and go down to your login infomation and change your "Start Location" to a place you haven't tried logging into yet, be it "Home" or a sim whose name you know.

Right now the new-semi new mainland sims are either offline or are glitching, so you're gonna need to load up in a functioning sim.

If you don't know what sim is up, I suggest "Hanja". It's an Infohub and I'm there right now, making my 10th attempt to find a way to get to the new sim areas.

Hi Brenham,

Thank you!
setting it to "home" made me get back into it!

No prob guys, thought I share a bit of knowledge that took me about an hour to figure out just earlier, hehe :).

Btw, I did a flyby across the southwestern grid of the mainland (the toe end of the boot continent that is the 2nd mainland) and was shocked to find just about 100 of mainland sims to be nothing more than vast expanse of deep oceans.

There doesn't seem to be a way to the sim grids just West of the Kaemi-to-Haetae ocean canyon.

Edit: Nevermind, the sims were just down for a while.... and I lucked out on the piece of cheap new land I was just about to buy before I got kicked out of the game :(
