I just noticed that the small push from kicks in our combat system have become so miniscule that they have no effect since the patch. I'm wondering if this is something intended or something that's gonna be fixed. I don't wanna go and update and then have the kick turned into an orbitting move when it gets changed back.

I know you have been around a while but do you know if the land has Restrictt Pushing turned on? It is in About Land, Options tab

Bug report this with as much detail as you can - other people have noticed the same thing with this version. In addition there are also newly introduced bugs with physics which have been brought to LL's attention but not sure on when a fix is ETA. Try contacting one of the bughunters directly as well to show them the bugged code directly.

From: Gearsawe Stonecutter I know you have been around a while but do you know if the land has Restrictt Pushing turned on? It is in About Land, Options tab It has nothing to do with land options... Push has been nerfed, at least in some situations. The problem Archanox describes has been noticed everywhere on the grid.

I recently discovered a bug that either severely attenuated or completely negated all physics-based LSL calls in some of my objects. With some digging, it turns out that it happens if the root prim is below a certain size, or possibly if the root prim is much smaller than the rest of the link set. Try making the root prim bigger and see if it helps. If it does, please bug-report this... the lindens need to know more details on this one.

I am not a very active content developer in SL any longer but I try to keep up with any bug reports on my existing objects. My sabers seem to be having this same problem. Set to the highest available setting they have an almost non existant push.
If I drop the saber on the ground, resize the object as a whole or the root only a tiny little bit, then rewear the saber off the ground the push is back to normal. But then if I put the same object into my inventory and rewear it the push is weak and lame again.

Sounds like an energy issue.
The amount of energy a prim has for pushing depends on its size. That's why you see these huge 100% alpha prims attached to objects that use push.

The bug I found and showed the Lindens was quite separate from energy, although it did act like the object had no energy at all. I had it constantly report its energy, and it never differed from 1.0. Something weird is going on.

Hmm it's not an energy issue, if I multiply the current push amount I have by 50, it almost goes back to how it was before the patch. I just don't want to put that in my weapons and have the push changed back so people are kicking each other to the other side of the sim hehe.

I recommend you ask on the Answers forum.
They have nerfed push before. Around 1.7 or 1.8 the script I was using to push me over two billion meters up quit working... I couldn't get more than 250 million meters with it.

Ah. This has borked, among other things, the turbo boost of one of my vehicles, which uses llApplyImpulse().
