I just found out you can no longer use awsdec keys to control the camera while in build mode. I also just found out due to my feeling crippled and searching madly for an alternative that you can hit alt+ctrl, and alt+shift to control the camera in build mode. Although this helps slightly, it is in no way as easy to control as just using awsdec.

Also who is unable to just click through the top windows without having to use key combinations......

I feel this update was worthless, and was implemented for an elite few that never used the wasdec keys to control the camera while designing. Sadly I cannot figure out what this feature is helping, and who is benefited by it. If anyone likes it I'd like to know why,..maybe I can get used to it if there is a hugely beneficial purpose...other than creating shortcuts to the menu's that noone will remember anyway.

Thanks to anyone who actually reads this....this is the first time ive responded to an update since late 2004 as I never felt the need till now.

How the hell are we supposed to build when the perfect keyboard config has been changed to some insane combination that supposes we have 2 right hands?

alt wadsec is the perfect way to control camera movement and use the mouse at the same time.

Where this current bullsh*t config comes from i have no idea.

Suffice to say that we are less than impressed.

I do get the impression that the interface changes me be designed to make it easier to do things other than building or other normal user activities, such as carry out the duties of a Linden employee, or chat with colleagues as part of a real world business in SL, or something other than than building, scripting, chatting, flying, jumping, etc.

I dont think so.

I cannot see any point in the layout whatsoever. the damn chat wont close on a double return, making it a real pain in the neck to move a mouse accoss 19 inches of monitor everytime someone chats and you want to move the camera to keep up with what else is going on, this is absolutely insane.

I had a thread on this same topic with a handful of people just as upset. Not sure if it was moved, or if I'm just blind and don't see it, but once again, this was a terrible change.

Why? Why do something that affects us all at such a basic level? It was FINE how it was...now I feel like a cripple if I even try to look at my own AV from anything other than the default.

You had a perfect, one handed method of adjusting the camera...what on EARTH possessed you to think that this was an improvement?
