I just discovered this feature a few verisons back and was loving it because I can give quick tutorials with it or show off a place I've been to in SL.

Now this feature busted =/

I'm wondering if it's just me or are other people finding this feature broken.

It hasn't worked properly for a good two years. I am amazed you ever got it to work in the first place.

I attempted to use this feature to document the damage to the Busy Ben's race track via machinema... I also found the function utterly NON-functional! I drove around for 15 minutes, carefully stopping in places and camming around in an effort to give myself time to comment on the video..

And when, after all that was done, I hit "stop".. I realized it hadn't DONE anything.

Makes me wish I had whatever tool it is that Torley uses.

If youre on pc, try fraps, you can record 30 sec without registering, just hit record when it runs out of time and mash them togeather when you convert the movie to compressed format.

The ingame one should be removed, never worked right.

The ingame one is about as useful as a handbrake on an airship.

Once you asign a folder to save the movie to, to change that, you have to relog the client to reset it... hmm useful eh?

Fraps or HyperCam (my favourite), is perhaps the most widely used.

It's kind of interesting that Torley never mentions how he is doing the videos. Everyone assumes he is using the built in features, but anyone who has ever tried it knows that's not possible.
