If actual "engineers" were working on these problems, they'd be solved. SL is the playground of low experience, low paid child programmers and sysadmins of dubious quality themselves.
Why is it that I could build a RAID cluster 10 years ago that could authenticate 500 people *per second* in conjunction with about 30 giant boxes of cisco MODEMS, by myself, in about a day and a half---and these monkeys can't get their act together with dozens of "engineers" and what is evidently better technology? And I'm a freakin' idiot.
Get your shit together already, lindens. There's absolutely no excuse for this.

well you see, the internet is made up of these 'tubes'... and sometimes you don't have the right sized fittings, so you run to the internet hardware store, and can't find any salesmen to help you. So you guess which fitting is right, and get back home, and find out you bought a male UDP fitting when you needed a female TCP one. By the time you get back to the store, it's closed

Did you feel better after hitting that submit button? It is sometimes amusing to see, on forums like this, seeing posts like the one you quoted coming from various self proclaimed computer "professional". I only hope they are more professional in their language on the job.

Recently Microsoft released a 'update'... just a single file... it completely made SL unplayable on my system. Fortunately I keep a record of all 'updates' as they are installed, so I simply uninstalled it and everything was fine. It took over a week for Microsoft to release a patch for that single small file, stating 'this update may have caused some 3rd party games to be unplayable'... how many ppls do Microsoft have working for them? How much money have they supporting their activities?... not everything in life is equal.
