Ok, so we're now limiting "adult" access because of Germany. SO what happens when another country finds something 'disagreeable'?? A Muslim country would find Most if not all of SL against its rules. So where does the censorship stop??

Yet the one place that it is illegal to gamble online, USA. It is ignored.
The same place the servers are on. I would think this would be a much hotter topic in general considering that yes it does not apply overseas but it is illegal to run such an operation here in the states. Just ask the online poker clubs who had to take their overseas businesses out of the states and back overseas. I would be more concerned about what is illegal here in the United States, where the majority of the servers are located rather than try to adopt every countries laws, its just impossible. We all wish them the best but sometimes with the lack of answers it is becoming hard to not be critical of the process and the lack of communication thereof. Its not that what they are doing is wrong in any way by trying to protect and respect opinions of other countries and their opinions as we love the diversity of SL. I just think many people are worried as to what is next on the chopping block and more concerned about possible future selective bans on more minor things to come which worries people. An active group who engages the forum and provides feedback on a regular basis would be a great place to start. Perhaps Linden answers or an even better forum to engage the community are needed. I think most of the posts and even critical thinking are much more due to "the unknown" than anything else. The lack of communication is causing down right panic in some cases, and the game is becoming affected by it. |

SL falls in the banned listing of gaming industry in Japan. Strange the Guilde to Sl ( in Japanese )so no working about the graphic content ( well they do know the laws but no doubt does nont care) If the Goverment knows about this child porn being pasted around and age sexplay LLABS might be on their black listing. . |

yup and howmany casino's shut down ??
A few small fry..don't sploder's count as games of chance as well ? whether the virtual casino's are owned by foreigners, the servers they are on are owned by a U.S. company, by this alone it should mean tha they are all shut down by lindenlabs for breaking U.S. law, but it hasn't happend, isn't the hardware also on U.S. mainland ? I suppose it would cost them to much money. |

Ok, so we're now limiting "adult" access because of Germany I thought I heard a Linden say that they've been working this issue since last summer. Germany may have given it a push but that certainly wasn't the start of it. _____________________
