Hello ! I ve many problems with my friend list with this new version of SL.

1/ When i log on, my friends appear off line even if they are logged
2/ They appear on line only when i send them an IM
3/ I only see the blue message "XXX is logging off" but never "XXX is logging on"
4/ On the contrary, in their friend list, i remain on line even when i m not !!!

Does someone know how to solve these problems ! They are very annoying as my friends think i dont want to speak with them !! But i even dont know that they are on line !!

I apologize for my poor english ... but I m french you know !!

Yes, this happens to me as well. I guess it is a general problem with SL at the moment, not something you can correct yourself I don't think.

you are not alone. this problem is happening to many.

when you login and find a list without any friends online, something is not right.

try relogging. my guess is "connection" between your client and SL is "not good".

I've logged in to a partial friends list. I have several alts that are always connected. I've even had them pay me L$ and had them not show up (and of course, they can sometimes see each other and don't see each other online).

Yes - this issue is listed in the jira. Though it was opened in March, has 145 votes (most jira issues have far fewer votes), and has been 'resolved' several times without actually getting the friends list to work correctly.

Last updates by Linden stated original 'bug' was resolved, but that the current issues were due to load issues on the "backbone" which time out under heavy loads. No updates since other than a few "try now we think it's resolved" posts followed by the inevitable "NO - IT'S NOT" replies.
