32707 beatrix 20 0 300m 29m 11m S 102 1.5 100:24.51 SLVoice
See that? That "102" is the percentage of CPU time (dual core) that SLVoice (or Vivox as its better known to most) is using on Linux--- in a completely empty sim where I had the only avatar. And my microphone was not switched on. The load on my computer, which is a 2.83ghz dual core machine with 4 gigs of ram (and an NVidia 9800 something or other) was 4.10, rendering the GUI unusable for anything.
Sure wish you guys had used Skype instead. Like you were told to from the start.

you need to fix it!
My SLvoice never uses that much even when using it...
sitting idle, SLvoice is pulling 1.7 on my machine... measly little 1.7%

I upgraded my Ubuntu install to the latest beta to see if changes in pulse audio would have any affect on this issue. I removed the entirety of Gnome from my install and installed a minimalistic window manager and downshifted to Alsa, having removed all of the pulse audio stuff. Still, the exact same thing happened. I'm not alone either, it seems to me quite a number of Linux users are seeing a similar problem.

I always remove the SLVoice executable. Solves the problem completely.
