Slow client update for data of other avatars?

Hi, this is more of a general inquiry than a complaint, but since the last update I’m noticing a lot more “lag” with respect to other avatars… especially ones that are far from me being viewed via camera zoom.

Let me be more specific. As a professional programmer I spend countless hours optimizing my scripts on the challenging SL platform. (At first it annoyed me but I’ve actually come to enjoy the challenge lol.) I’ve actually dared to create an action game (a modular combat racing system). But with this latest update I am seeing the other cars frequently dip down into the ground. I had seen that on a rare occasion before, but now with alarming frequency.

I test all of my games and complex items as viewed from 5 different computers ranging from low-mid range specs to a 6,000 dollar gaming behemoth. The problem has been noted on all 5 machines. Also, I have checked my connection and it is as strong as ever, so I find it unlikely that the problem is on my end. However, as one can never truly be sure of that I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same problem- specifically with respect to viewing other people in vehicles. I’m actually hoping it is just me and/or a temporary glitch.

They seem to be sending out a lot fewer updates lately, and increasing the rate *only* for the person riding the vehicle and only for a short time right after they hit a control. This has been a problem with aircraft, since it's very common to be sitting in a tight bank with the controls in neutral waiting for the plane to level out, and you do that now and you get heavy rubberbanding. Some people have been seeing this lead to a complete freeze... effectively, no updates coming at all, until you hit a control again.
